Universal Studio South Korea 2010

South Korea announced that the world’s fifth Universal Studios theme park is set to open as early as 2020.




Hwaseong in Gyeonggi Province is the suggested location for th park which is an hour’s drive from Seoul and close to the Incheon International Airport.

Currently there are four universal studios in the world

Universal Studios Hollywood (Los Angeles, California, United States; wholly owned)


Universal Orlando Resort (Orlando, Florida, United States; wholly owned)



Universal Studios Japan (Osaka, Japan licensed to USJ Co., Ltd.)





South Korea Universal Studios will be the second-largest theme park in the world and largest in the Asia spanning 4.2 square kilometers and incorporating a K-Pop concert arena, accommodations, a golf resort, shopping center, and a water park. An estimated 5 trillion won will be invested in the project.
